Following the devastation brought by Tropical Storm Paeng (international name Nalgae) to many parts of the country, the Ayala group, under the #BrigadangAyala banner, kicked off its relief distribution activities in the first weekend of November.

With Ayala Foundation as the lead, #BrigadangAyala is working partner local government units. A total of 6,000 food packs will be distributed to other typhoon-affected areas.

On November 4, #BrigadangAyala kicked off its relief efforts in Oriental Mindoro, delivering at least 500 food packs for affected families in the municipalities of Mansalay and Bulalacao. The Ayala Foundation team officially turned over the goods to Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor in a courtesy call. As part of the foundation’s #MagingMagiting program which promotes Love of Country, 50 Philippine flags were also turned over to the province, for the use of different government offices and public schools.

The goods were turned over to Antique Provincial Board Member Sueki Palacios and Vice Mayor Josue “Wakoy” Javier of the municipality of Culasi.

Aside from the food packs, the foundation turned over 25 Philippine flags, as part of its #MagingMagiting program to promote love of country.

Ayala Foundation’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) team is scheduled to visit other parts of the country in the coming weeks to provide much-needed food relief for families who took a hit from the heavy rains and strong winds brought by Paeng.
