In line with their shared goal of nation-building, Ayala Foundation and Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines inked a partnership to aid communities affected by natural disasters nationwide.
The deal was formalized through a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing on March 6, 2023 led by Ayala Foundation President Ruel T. Maranan and Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines President Ma. Cecilia Alcantara.
Under the partnership, the organizations will work together to provide food packs and other essential goods to families hit by calamities in areas across the country. The two foundations will also collaborate on disaster recovery and rehabilitation efforts to support communities long-term.

The memorandum of agreement was signed by (L-R) Ayala Foundation Senior Director for Corporate Communications Cel Amores, Ayala Foundation President Ruel T. Maranan, Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines President Ma. Cecilia Alcantara, Coca-Cola Foundation Program Officer for Communications, Youth, and Disaster Response Jeanne Pineda

“During times of crises, it is critical to address the need of families in disaster-hit areas swiftly. Working with Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines will enable us to help more Filipinos, especially in times when they need it most,” said Maranan.
“Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines is pleased to partner with Ayala Foundation to support critically affected communities in times of calamities. Through this partnership, we will be able to provide immediate relief during disasters. Together, we are committed to making a positive difference and building more resilient communities in the Philippines,” said Alcantara.

The two organizations will collaborate to provide relief aid to disaster-stricken communities.

For decades, Ayala Foundation has implemented disaster resilience initiatives together with local government and private sector partners. Hewing close to the recommendations of the Philippine Development Plan (2023–2028) and the internationally recognized Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, Ayala Foundation’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) program is guided by a framework that covers Prevention and Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Rehabilitation and Recovery (Building Back Better). Among the interventions provided under Ayala Foundation’s DRRM program include giving relief aid in the immediate aftermath of calamities, helping families rebuild their homes through the provision of shelter kits, provision of psychosocial support through arts and sports, and training stakeholders in disaster management skills.
