Ayala Museum celebrates ‘Isang Dekada ng Musika’ featuring the MSO’s ‘Rush Hour’ and the MADZ

Ayala Foundation and Ayala Museum together with Avida present “Isang Dekada ng Musika,” a two-part special concert series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the museum’s concert program on November 16 and 23, 2023.

“The 10th Anniversary Concert: The Best of Rush Hour,” on November 16 will feature the most popular songs from the Manila Symphony Orchestra’s (MSO) performances. The Rush Hour concert series began as a musical offering of the MSO and Ayala Museum for the Makati crowd waiting out the rush hour traffic. With over 40 shows in the series, Rush Hour has developed a following with blockbuster performances including “Bach versus Beatles,” “Bohemian Rhapsody in Blue,” and the highly popular “Video Games Symphonic.”

On November 23, the Christmas Tree Lighting concert will celebrate the uniqueness of Filipino talent and its heart for communal cooperation through an evening of music by the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. This year’s lighting ceremony will center around a Christmas tree inspired by Juan Luna’s “Hymen Oh’ Hyménée!”

“Ayala Museum is very proud to celebrate 10 years of championing Filipino music and talent with some of the best performers in the country,” says Mariles Gustilo, Ayala Museum Director. “This year has marked a number of milestones for the museum, and this concert series is the perfect way to cap a year of thanksgiving and celebration.”

Guests can book their tickets at ayalamuseum.org/concerts. Tickets include a tour of the museum as well as wine and canapés before the performances. The concerts will start promptly at 7:00 PM at the Ayala Museum.
