Ayala Foundation was recognized by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) for its Maging Magiting campaign on June 12, Philippine Independence Day.
The plaque of appreciation was given to the foundation for “helping in the fight against Covid-19 by donating flag-inspired face masks for the commemorative programs of the NHCP.”
Ayala Foundation has donated over 9,000 Magiting Masks to various groups including frontliners like the police, military, teachers, and emergency responders.
The masks, featuring the colors and elements of the Philippine flag, were designed by the NHCP and produced by Ayala Foundation.
“We thank the NHCP for recognizing Ayala Foundation’s Maging Magiting program. Through this campaign, we hope to instill a sense of nationalism in the hearts of Filipinos all over the world. Let us celebrate our everyday heroes who show the meaning of kagitingan sa isip, sa salita, at sa gawa,” said Ruel Maranan, Ayala Foundation President.
In a letter, NHCP Chairman Rene Escalante said: “The National Historical Commission of the Philippines is always willing to partner with your good organization to further promote Philippine history and cultural heritage and instill Filipino pride in our kababayans nationwide and worldwide.”
